      General Education Development (GED)

The General Educational Development (GED) Test can give you the opportunity to earn a high school equivalency diploma ñ a credential recognized as a key to employment opportunities, job advancement, further education, and financial rewards. 

The GED test is composed of five sections: Writing Skills, Social Studies, Science, Reading, and Mathematics.  Classes are free and designed to match various reading levels.

  • Enrollment is open entry, meaning you can register at anytime during the year.

  • GED pre-testing and preparation is available on a flexible schedule

  • Course work is prescribed depending upon GED pre-test scores.

  • Classes are available from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.

  • Textbooks and computers are provided for your use.

  • Childcare is available at some sites

  • GED classes are offered at Willow and La Puente Annex.

  • The official GED test is administered at the Willow Adult Center

  • GED tests are administered by appointment only

  • Assessment, employment and other student support services are available.
