Distance Learning

The Distance Learning Program is available for Hacienda Heights and La Puente residents who cannot attend regular classes because of limited transportation, childcare or work schedules. Students learn English at home through a combination of audio/video tapes, and supplemental reading materials. 

Classes are offered in the following areas:

  • English as a Second Language
  • ESL/Citizenship
  • Parent Education/Family Literacy
  • Elementary Basic Skills

These classes are: 

  • Tuition free

  • Enrollment is open entry, meaning you can register at anytime during the year

  • Free materials are provided for your use

  • There are several sites where classes are offered

  • Distance learning Office is open from 9:00 AM to 2:30 PM, M-F

  • Teachers and aides are available to assist students with materials
